Job Description
3D Recruit are currently looking for SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a long term role within an SEN School based in Hailsham.
About Job:
Our client is looking for Teaching Assistants to provide support to students with additional needs.
The ideal candidate will ideally be working 5 days a week, Monday to Friday 8:30am until 3:30pm.
The ideal candidate will be someone that has previous experience working with children with various additional needs.
You will have the following responsibilities:
Encouraging children's confidence, self-esteem and independence
Supporting SEN children in groups and a 1:1 basis
Reinforcing good behaviour and the classroom rules
Helping children understand instructions, through repetition, re-phrasing or demonstrating
Recognising signs of distress in children and offering reassurance
You would be ideal if you have experience working with children and young people with social, emotional & mental health needs in a SEN Primary School.
You need to be flexible and adaptable to different environments as you can face many challenges. You will need to have the ability to communicate effectively to all children and understand that they all come from different backgrounds.
You will need to feel confident reporting back to other members of staff, as well as parents and carers where appropriate.
Requirements:

· Strong SEN Experience
· Experience working within a Primary School
· DBS on the Update Service or happy to apply for one
· 2 Years Satisfactory references
· Right to Work in the UK
· UK experience (preferred)
